Lenovo N100 sound driver problem

hi,

im having problem on my Lenovo laptop. and i guess some already encounter this. after i resintall my windows XP the built speaker of the laptop willnot work anymore. but when i tryied using an earphone on the phone jack it has a sound. i all ready read some on the internet post nad they do also have the same problem with mine.

any there who kind enough to share there technicalities on how to solve this is much appreciated..

Sharing the model might help. Did you use the Rapid Restore or a stock copy of XP? Share exactly how you reinstalled and why.

Lenovo 3000 N100, sound problem

Its Lenovo 3000 N100 model 0689 laptop.

im pretty sure the internal speaker is working well before. its just recently my laptopn got infected with computer virus. what i did, reformat my laptop and reinstall the OS using Windows XP Pro. SP2. since i left my cd driver in my hometown, im confident that all driver can be download on lenovo website. but after installing the driver, the internal speaker will not work. but if using an earphone to the speaker jack it has a sound.

I had this problem with my Lenovo N100 and now it s OK.

This is the solution:
1)Download this patch: KB835221 (http://couponmeister.com/blog/HD_Audio/KB835221.exe)
2)Download this patch:KB888111
Based on yuo sistem
XP Service Pack 2->
http://couponmeister.com/blog/HD_Audio/kb888111xpsp2.exe
XP SP1->
http://couponmeister.com/blog/HD_Audio/kb888111xpsp1.exe
Windows Server 2003->
http://couponmeister.com/blog/HD_Audio/kb888111srvrtm.exe
Windows 2000 SP4->
http://couponmeister.com/blog/HD_Audio/kb888111w2ksp4.exe
3) Instal both
4) Download this driver: 63ar14ww.exe (http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-66525)
5) Install the driver
6) BUT....If the problem continue...
7) control Panel/sistem/hardware, device manager and check "PCI device" ou "PCI Bus" error. click on it and "Update driver".
Let Windows Install auto.
8) Turn off Windows and install driver (63ar14ww.exe) again.
9) Turn off Windows and it s working....

Lenovo 3000

Hi,
I am facing same problem but not in win xp. i am using windows vista home premium.
i have upgraded the OS and installed the audio device drivers but it is not working.
Drivers installed sucessfully but not able to hear the audio from the speakers.

please help me.

Hi im a new CNET user

i have a lenovo 3000Y500 and it had the same problem mentioned above
and now that i've installed the xp updates sound's working perfectly
