Hi,
I want to upgrade my Dell Inspiron 1720 from 1Gb to 4Gb.
I know that I need 2 of "2GB DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz PC2-5300 200-pin SoDIMM".
My question is Can I buy any memory with that description or I need only "memory for Dell".
What is the different between those memory? should I buy the one with lowest price?

Will you be upset that you can't use 4GB?

XP, Vista in the versions most of us use will limit applications to 2GB and even when we use the /3GB switch (see google.com) you discover the application must be compiled "special."

4GB is, in my view for bragging rights only today. Get 2GB and you are going to save some bucks and save yourself some time.
