Alternatives to Acer's emPowerment tools for Power Setting

After buying this Acer 3620 used, I decided to reinstall Windows and reformat C driver. I'd rather not reinstall the Acer drivers that came with it as it was just a bunch of clutter.

BUT I no longer have Standby Mode. If I got to power settings under "When I close my laptop" the only option I have "Nothing Happens". Can I install something very basic to give me more options? I only have 256MB RAM, so I'm trying to keep it simple.

That's not power setting tools.

That's the motherboard driver package. I found it easier to restore the machine and toss stuff out in most cases than to try to find the motherboard chipset driver if the maker didn't have it up on their website.

To repeat, that's in the motherboard chipset driver package...
