Best Notebook for 2007?

OK, Laptophiliacs... Here's your chance. Name the best gaming notebook that will come on the market in the NEXT 12 Months. Do NOT name anything currently available. DO name the make, model and spec., (as best you can). Explain your choice; say WHY you're making THAT choice.

If you've carefully read the adverts, reviews, previews, blurbs, blogs, etc., you have an opinion. Let's hear it.

Then I'll tell you my choice. I've looked long and hard and put together a list with one model at the top. I did a little speculating, reading between the lines, (some of the details of most of the coming models are a little... sketchy); you can speculate, too. Within reason.

There it is then: Show me yours and I'll show you mine. We can argue later, or I mean discuss, who is right.

So you want that we predict the future ????

We can't know which models the manufacturer will make during the next year. If you got a credible website that can predict the future, let me know ...

On the other hand, the best gaming laptop at my eye ( and affordable, not like the Voodoo or things that overheats because they have a desktop CPU in their models ... ) is the Dell XPS M1710 with 4 GB RAM, Core 2 Duo, 17" widescreen display, nVIDIA GeForce Go 7950GTX.

As I said, I can't name you a model that doesn't exist ...

the new laptop shld be having a
Quadro Core processor with FSB of 1066 Mhz...similarly a
4GB RAM with speed beefed upto 1066 Mhz..
It shld ve a graphics card of 65 nm technology(currently its 90 nm). a fatser HDD of 10000 rpm may be used( i don't knw if its still available for a laptop) .
manufacturers shld come out with a screen which satisfies all customers( thought its debatable becasue screen subject is quite relative, wat i like might not be liked by others).a 17 inch screen would be prefereed.
lastly the much aniticipated aspect of battery , the premonition of Gaming Laptop having a sub par battery would be dropped.

Quad-core CPUs ...

Leave the Santa Rosa platform hits the market before the quad-core wink

Santa Rosa will have a 800 MHZ FSB and will use the Core 2 Duo CPUs.

For the 10 000 RPM Hard-drive ... not sure ... It will consume a lot of electricity from the battery so when you say "the premonition of Gaming Laptop having a sub par battery would be dropped" with a 10 000 RPM .... hummm ... I'm not really sure wink

For GPUs, 65 nm technology is the future.
