Toshiba A25: upgrade or sell?

I own a 2.5 year old Toshiba A25 Pentium 4, 40 GB, 1GB ram.

Use
Only do PPT presentations and online 5-10 hours.

Upgrade
Replace the hard drive? Laptop has new fans and power supply. The battery runs 1 hour.


Sell
Have a $1000 offer.

Why ask?
I do consulting onsite and concerned my laptop looks a bit outdated (not widescreen). Upon receiving the offer, I got confused as to what to do.

Thanks for any input, because I know little about laptops.

Here I see Lenova selling Core 2 Duo laptops starting at 649USD. While said unit has 1/2 the RAM it does have all the other usual items such as DVD/CD recorder, wifi, etc.

If you were in the states I'd say sell.
