Backing up

I was wondering about the best way to backup my files, my computer lacks a DVDR drive and I am running out of space. The bulk is mostly in the form of music, with a few files and movies tossed in. If there is a simply way to do this I would be appreciative. I am thinking about getting a new computer and would like to bring all of my files over, if that makes a difference.

External Harddrive

dude for sure you need an external harddrive. if it is a laptop you are getting and you want it to be really portable, then get a seagate portable harddrive. if you aren't going to move it around alot you can get a seagate external upto 500gb. i actually like seagate alot but i bought a 400gb external hardrive from Cavelry and it works great. plus it was much cheeper. only $200. the only reason that it was so cheap was because it is a parralell external harddrive instead of a serial external harddrive. that means that it is a little slower but im not in any hurry it still works really fast and well. plus a bitchload of storage. so go to newegg.com and look around. peace!
