IBM Thinkpad T22 Good deal or not?

I am a 13 year old kid with a HP Pavilion laptop. I want another computer for myself. At Staples, there is a IBM Thinkpad T22 with 900MHz Intel Pentium III processor, 128 MB of RAM, 20GB hard drive, DVD-ROM and Windows 98 for $699. Is that a good deal? If it isn't do you know where I could get a better deal or another website with other IBM computers at same or lower cost with same specs or better? I just want another computer to mess around with.

I just want an IBM computer. I want to mess with an older computer. I just found a IBM Thinkpad T20 with 700MHz Pentium III, 10 GB hard drive, DVD-ROM, 128 MB of RAM for $599.99 on tigerdirect.com. I like messing with computers and IBM makes the best, most relaible computers around. Newer IBM computers are so expensive. I can't spend over $700.00

Yeah, you probably right. That is a little high for a 4 year old computer. I am happy with my HP Pavilion ze4400 for right now. Thanks

NO! It's not a good deal. You can get far better deals than that online or at retail stores. Try buying refurbished notebooks with extended warranties. That can be a good way to save $$ on a budget notebook.

Check out emachines notebooks. Try ecost.com or search cnet or google.
