Two computers-one has Avast downloaded....

I am pretty low tech when it comes to computers so I apologize if this is a silly question.

I bought a new laptop and downloaded Avast. It works well but now I want to uninstall my current AV on the old computer (Zone Alarm) and install Avast there, too. I have the same email for both computers. Will I still be able to register for the free protection when my laptop is already registered with the same email address?

I have used other free anti-virus software in the past and installed the same software on more than one computer while using the same email address with no problems.

If you look at this discussion; http://forums.techguy.org/general-security/816918-some-general-questions-about-avast.html

and read down to where others discuss installing the free version on multiple computers you will see it is OK.
