Why did my HDTV stop showing HD picture?

I have a Sony Bravia HD, LCD. It recently stopped producing HD images. It only shows SD pictures. Cable techs say it is receiving HD signals.

The TV is about eight years old. Could the problem be the TV itself? Do I need a new TV set?

Good afternoon!


I am sorry to hear that your TV has stopped showing HD images. This is certainly not normal of one of our televisions. I would suggest visiting Sony's esupport site for some helpful troubleshooting tips and the oppurtunity to setup a repair if needed.
