Blue Ray will not play Blue Ray movies

So I noticed one night that my Sony Blue Ray play was not playing Blue Ray movies. I went to the Blue Ray site and downloaded the latest firmware and installed it, once I did that it still did not play a Blue Ray movie. I tired another movie that I know worked for me and it still would not play. Is there anything else I can do or will I need to replace this player. Also it does still play regular DVDs and I am aware that this is due to the fact that a Blue Ray disk is read with different software than a standard DVD.

These things do fail.

Since BR players are different I can never suggest a lens cleaner but a good tech will do that for you as a courtesy while you shop for a new player. Even in warranty, shipping can cost as much as some replacements.
