Sony 28FX68 Has Developed Green Hue.

Set is only around 5 years old.
Has suddenly developed green hue.
Would appreciate any help.

This set showed up in 2003 or 8 years ago and it's a CRT. My opinion is to go shopping.

It was available in Ireland around 2004/2005.
I still don't know what the problem is.
A 21" CRT Sony in another room is 20 years old
and is working fine.
3 times the age of the FX 68!

But repairs and parts are now costing more than a new LCD. In fact I moved out the old CRTs before the local gov started charging 50$ each at the dump for each unit.
If you do want to repair it yourself look to those TV repair forums.

have to look for the best possible replacement.
Thought the problem might be an over active green gun, or
something simple.
But it's rarely ever simple!
As regards repairing it myself, I wouldn't even know how to open
the cabinet.
