Secret Massive Sony Recall

Sony is trying to sneak through another recall by posting it where no one will find it till it i to late. If you have a Sony Wega set don't wait for the part to fail and it will. Act now!

I just wanted to let everybody know that, on 10/23/2009, Sony issued warranty extension alerts for all of their 2007 rear-projection TVs. Now, every Sony rear-projection model ever produced (2003-2007) has been the subject of a warranty extension, a class-action lawsuit, or both. This also reveals a disturbing, but perhaps not surprising, reality related to the class-action lawsuit Sony settled for the 2005 SXRD models. The "Opinion and Order" in that settlement stated on page 4 that Sony had fully resolved the yellow stain issue by September 2006, and that no TVs or replacement optical blocks manufactured after that date should have problems with green or yellow discolorations. Yet, I have emails from owners with SXRD models manufactured in 2007 that got the yellow stains, and this latest warranty extension suggests that it is another widespread problem.

I am having problems opening up that line. It says that it can not be found. I am a little upset that we were not informed of this and I can not find anything on the net about this I would like to have a new TV if possible as mine is going with the color no matter if you change the bulb or not. So I think Sony should be letting their customers know if this as it is their fault and replacing these customers with new TV's I have spent a good penny on this TV not for it to go down in 2 yrs.
Please direct me in the right place so I can get to the bottom of this.

what is going on i thought i needed a bulb replaced it ,and now its smells like its on fire . is there a recall i dont know about

Hi, I'm going through the same problem(i think). I replaced the lamp because the lamp light came on and everything was fine for about a month. Then, there wasn't any picture and burning smell when the tv was just plugged in and not on. If this was similar to your problem, what , if anything, did you do.

i purchaed a sony 46 in, flat creen tv in 2006 ,well about 6 weeks ago i called sony about the green blob,they sent me a 55 in lcd t for 400.00 dollar,i looked up the value ofthe tv they were sending me and its value is almost 3,000.00 dollars,so i dont understand why everybody is so mad at sonny
