Raid 1 degraded, How do I replace a drive and rebuild array
by oneclick - 8/13/12 12:04 PM
I have an HPE 380t. It has a RAID1 (mirror) with 2 - 500GB Western Digitals. When I boot it up it says the raid has degraded and an error has occurred on the drive attached to port 0, port 1's drive shows ok. This is in the Intel Matrix Storage manager, (Ctrl+I at boot). The machine still boots, but I want to replace the drive on Port 0 with another 500 GB drive.
How do I go about doing this so I don't toast all the data still on the drive on Port1?
I have looked for links and other places for help on this but to no avail! Is there a tutorial or step by step instructions somewhere I can go to?
Thanks in advance
