Fatal Alert Tungsten E2

I am receiving the message Fatal Alert System Manager Line 4038. This prohibits me from Hot Syncing the handheld to my desk top. I must rescue all my data before doing a hard reset. How do I accomplish this and will a hard reset correct the fatal alert? Some help would be appreciated.

And be aware this old error is an old error discussed about 6 or more years ago.

Hot Sync error

I opened your link as provided and all I was directed to was brighthand advertising. Could you just give me some clear directions I have no backup for my data and I fear the worst.

But if you google that error you can find what folk have done about it.

As to the backup issue, the folder on the Palm files on the PC for most fits on a floppy diskette so why not copy that out now?
