DV4000 keeps dropping Wireless Connection

I can click repair all day but every 5 to 10 minutes (10 if I'm extremely lucky) my old laptop drops connection. It'll register at 54 Mbps then drop to 24 and if I don't click repair it'll reconnect itsself. It's a really big hassle and it's only getting worse.What on earth is going on? (Besides the fact that she's getting old *sigh*)
