creating recovery disks for Vista

I lost my initial set of recovery disks and Vista Home Premium will not allow me to create another set. Is there a workaround? This is a Compaq Presario SN5250NX. Want to reformat and give it to my niece to play with, but need to ensure old data is "gone".

You can duplicate them for safety but you didn't do that. The next step is to head to HP.COM and order a set.

Be sure to duplicate such when you get them.
