I aquired a Hp Pavillion DV 5000 from my deceased son. S/N CND 6102KRC, P/N ET800UA#ABA, using Windows XP.
I would like any help you can give, allowing me to sign on, not knowing the password. I do not have any of the software discs on operating system, etc., just the computer. Thank you for any assistance you can give.

This is very easy. TWO METHODS for you.

1. Go get NTPASSWD and reset the password. About a 5 minute job.

It's free.

2. If that's too hard to use then head to http://www.lostpassword.com and they have another method, tech support and it's a small charge.
