HP Officejet 6210 All-In-One Printer PARTS

First of all
My 6210 All-In-One Printer is older but still very good equipment to have and thats why id prefer to fix this problem than to replace. Apparently, this particular model is discontinued as well (!!!)
The main door to open up the interior for access to the ink cartridges and all else has two hinges. The plastic hinge assembly on the left hand side has been broken. I need to replace this item. Ive tried a search online to no avail. Im not sure where or what to look for. The HP site hasnt been very helpful because of my ignorance. Id rather not pay a shop big $$$$ for something i could do myself with the proper parts and pieces. Advice?
Problems always seem to compound with us and our PCs !

From all indications, besides paper and ink the repair, even at HP is to swap the machine out. The reason this is so is well discussed. Just in case you missed it, a shop counter rate is about 100 per hour which is about the price of the printer. Repairs are more than the printer.

This means there are no calls for spare parts and therefore the makers don't inventory such.

This can inflame folk that were used to repairing everything like we used to a few decades ago.

--> But not all is lost. Look on Ebay and Craipslist for other printers to get parts from.

Thanks to 'R.Proffitt' for the advice. I went to ebay and found numerous 6210's there for sale "for parts only" (mosly by one seller/company) We made a deal on one inparticular and it is now on its way here. Ill keep all informed.
