Have HP All-in-One Printers Improved?

I have an HP Photosmart 6180 all-in-one. It has had numerous problems over its life and I consider it a piece of junk - except, the photo printing is good. The flatbed scanner has stopped working and I need to replace the 6180.

Have HP all-in-ones gotten any better or are they still junk with very poor support? Any recommendations for an all-in-one?

The consumer models continue to be cheap 2 year affairs. If I move up to the business or office machines they tend to be much better.
