Privacy tab in Safari missing

Hello

I have Mac OS X v. 10.5.8 and Safari 5.0.6 on a MacBook Pro laptop.

I have noticed that the 'Privacy' tab in Safari's Preferences is missing. I just installed Google Safe Search 1.0 for Safari extension.

Could there be a connection?

Remove the Google Safe Search, reboot and see if the Privacy tab returns

This version of Safari should have a Privacy tab, right?

There is no mention of 'Privacy tab', so I must assume that Safari 5.0.6 doesn't have one by default.

Should I get a more recent version of Safari or are 'Security' settings adequate on my present Safari?

then the Security settings would have almost the same function as the Privacy Tab does.

If Software Update does not show a newer version of Safari for your machine, then there probably isn't one

I can probably get by without the Privacy tab. Its absence only alarmed me.

And silly me forgot that I have the latest version of Safari. wink
