BEST SOFTWARE FOR MAC...HELP!!

I need to get a program that has office/excell/powerpoint for school.. do I get a mac program that can convert microsoft files or do i get a microsoft for mac program.. it's very confusing. I was looking on the apple website and theres also a program called parallels to support such programs?? Any help would be appreciated.

Why not Office for the Mac? Or LibreOffice?

The Intel Mac versions of LibreOffice are at http://www.libreoffice.org/download/?type=mac-x86

My advice. Download "open office" for Mac. It automatically converts excel, power point and office documents. You can later convert your open office files to a pdf in the the "print" option to share. Easy, safe and FREE.

If you school is offering MS Office for Mac

at $10, then you might as well take it.

It will eliminate any of the possible "I cannot open this" or "we only accept Word Documents", both of which one of my family members encountered at her college, despite the fact that Word would open ALL of the work she uploaded to be graded.
