App remnants removal

Trying to install a video game but it won't play. Checked Console messages and found one which refers to an application I "Trashed" a while ago. I assume that remnants of the app linger on my hard drive so is causing my installation problems. Can anyone recommend a free iMac app remnant removal download please?

I usually need to research the game title and if that fails I get to ask the game maker's support or support forum.

The game is Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix. I've contacted EA Games for help but they haven't replied.
