to be run in 32bit mode.
Find the application, select it and, from the menu bar at the top of the screen, choose Get Info.
In the resulting window, in the top section, you should see a check box marked, Open in 32bit mode.
Check the box and see if that helps.
Meanwhile, one wonders just what this app is protecting you from. It certainly is not protecting your wallet!

Hi there, thanks for that. If I go to the get info part I don't have the option of a checkbox. I've unlocked it to see if that would make any difference (bottom right padlock) but it doesn't.
Any other thoughts where I can find this?

Lion operating system does not allow changes to 32 bit

I've called tech support and now ascertained that with Snow Leopard operating system you could change the bit from 64 to 32 for individual applications. However as I'm now using the newer software, namely Lion, this only operates in 64 bit and the option to change an app to run in 32 bit is now no longer available. Hopefully IAntiVirus may come up with a fix to this...

do a Get Info on the Address Book App, iTunes 10.5.2 or Launch Pad (only available in Lion)
See the Open in 32bit mode check box?
I am running Lion
Seems that not all Tech Support is created equal

No Get Info in menu bar

I got into this dialogue late, but I, too, am trying to turn on Protect My Mac.
On my iMac running Lion, there is no Get Info on my menu bar for Address Book, iTunes (10.6.3), and in Launch Pad, there is no menu bar! Am I missing something here?

you will not find the Get Info choice in the menubar when you are running any of those apps.
You have to go to the Applications folder, select the app by Single Clicking it, and then go to the menubar and choose Get Info.
