problem downloading updates with CNET tech tracker

can someone help me please:- I run the cnet- tech tracker program, it
came up with 12 updates. when i click download a box opens asking
"choose an application" when i click the "choose" button; it takes me to
my download folder and wants a file name- what do i do here??

Had Cnet techtraker for a couple of years... all of sudden I can't install updates to out of date software. If I click standard install it keeps stating that I need Cnet tecktracker pro.
Why can't I just download like I used to without the pro version???? Can anyone help me?

I have been using CTT for years. I received an email to update Adobe AIR and it updated no problem. I then scanned the computer and found 19 programs with 8 needing update. Rather than update those 8 programs, I downloaded and updated the latest version of CTT and then did another scan. This time I found 17 out of 40 programs needed updating. Each time I click download now or standard download for any of the programs needing updating nothing happens. If I click smart download, I get the option screen and no matter what I click (smart or standard download) nothing happens. I use Chrome as my browser. What's up?
