PROBLEM WITH CNET TRACKER DETERMINING CORRECT SOFTWARE !

I use CNET Tracker on my older IMac 10.5.8. It keeps showing about 27 software updates that need to be made. The problem is that I go through the trouble of downloading software and opening it, only to find that when attempting to update it reads "This software can not be installed on this computer"! Does Tracker not recognize my OS and just sees out of date software that I can not use? If this is indeed the case, then Tracker is a total waste to me!

Will not identify outdated programs and update them.

The problem is that when CNET Tracker tells me there is an update available for a piece of software, it does not look at my OS! The problem s that it tells me there are updates, and when I click on the update, I get an errr message that reads: Can not install this version of software on your computer!

What gives? I know I have a non-Intel older computer, but it can not tell the difference??

TechTracker alerts me that I have several software items that need updating, yet I actually have newer versions, or Software Update says I am up to date or the update is for Lion. What gives? I have Mac OS 10.6.8.
