Techtracker hasnt upgraded to plus

by chemicalbrother2011 - 5/23/11 3:45 PM

I`m hoping someone can help me here. I purchased a T Shirt to qualify for a free copy of Techtracker (wasn`t told it was a 1 year subscription so there`s a moan straight away). The T-shirt cost me 14 which was fairly steep and all I did was add 1 picture.

After I made the purchase the pay portal gave me an activation code, i clicked the link, it took me to the tech tracker home page. I copied and pasted the link, it took me to the tech tracker website, instructions weren`t clear from here.

I downloaded Techtracker and installed it and it came up saying it was the plus version, when i do a scan from the icon in my task bar it does the scan then in the centre of the box it says no scan results available.

It also states "To view your TechTracker home page, which provides additional details on your installed software, click on the 'View My Software' button."

When I do this it takes me to my Techtracker home page and I am logged in, it lists the software that needs updating and other things I can uninstall. When i try to update a file it says "This feature is only available in TechTracker Plus. If you purchased TechTracker Plus, you can activate Plus features by running a scan of your system. To run a scan, click the CNET TechTracker icon in your system tray and select Scan Now."

My version should be the plus version, when i first installed it stated that it may take 5 minutes to update. I have been messing around trying to get it wokring since 1 pm today, wish I hadn`t bothered I really do there`s obviously a problem. The thing thats most annoying is that when i tried to go to the online help it wouldn`t accept my password, i logged into my main TechTracker account, but when i tried to do the same thing here :

http://cnet.custhelp.com/app/utils/login_form/redirect/account%252Foverview

It wouldn`t work. I have asked for a password reset and this hasn`t come through, i raised a ticket at about 2 pm and have heard nothing. Over all not very impressed at all, about to contact Paypal to ask them to refund my money.

I`m hoping someone on here can help me, my support account is locked and I can`t get a password reset, how am I supposed to get this sorted ?

Regards Alex
