Haven't seen any other posts in this forum yet but MSE forums have had a few regarding posible false positives with this detection. My weekly Sunday scan picked up a couple of these in installer packages I had sitting around, one of which was CNET TechTracker(version 126.96.36.199.55) I had never installed this version but out of curousity I attempyed to download version 2.01. My recommended actions for MSE is Quarantine everything no matter what risk level assesment it has so CNET TechTracker was automatically quarantined. The saeadwarewas aslo detected in WECP setup.exe and ATI Tray Tools setup.exe. Here's what Microsoft Malware/Threat Encyclopedia has to say about it,
Here a thread concerning CDBurnerXP setup.exe and a false positive sumission report to MS,
THought someone here may like to respond to this issue. I for one would like to know CNET's take on this and why this would be included it the TechTracker software anyways, from the MS description I certainly want no part of it.
