I, too, have done all of the steps you mention. In my case, the TT *site* shows the "Plus" logo and additional drop-down list of download/installation options. But no matter what I try (i.e. everything--and then some), the TT *program* will NOT unlock the "Plus" functionality, meaning that I cannot use ANY of the download/install options at all. So not only can't I use the "Plus" features of my paid subscription, I can't use TechTracker AT ALL. I'm worse off now than when I was using the free TechTracker.
I've tried absolutely everything I can think of and every suggestion I have found posted in these CNET forums. Uninstalling, rebooting, reinstalling, re-reinstalling, multiple attempts at removing/adding my computer from TT's list, etc, etc, etc... Nothing works.
This whole TechTracker Plus ordeal over the last few weeks has caused such great frustration that I--a grown man--have ended up in tears on more than one occasion. I've pretty much decided that I'm going to contact CNET for a refund, but I first wanted to post my specific situation here in a last-chance effort, just in case there might be a solution for me.
TechTracker Plus, in my never-to-be-humble opinion, is among the worst of EPIC FAILs. I'll never understand why they shut down VersionTracker Plus--ESPECIALLY when their plan all along was to replace it with this sh*tware. VersionTracker wasn't perfect by any means, but you know what? IT WORKED! If it ain't broke, don't "fix" it.
