When I Export Address book, I get a sheet called Contacts Export with first and last names and no email addresses. Oddly a few notes were included.

to a Tab delimited text file. Save it to the desktop and burn it to a CD.
OR
Consider getting away from that old, and unsupported, email client and using the one that came with OS X
You will be able to import all your email addresses from OE to MAIL

the daemon within the program on my computer won't give me that option. However I've copied my address book as something or other and can put in everything manually if the worst happens. I'm getting ready to move from OS 10.3.9 to OS 10.4. When I've done that I'll look into Mac Mail and a lot of other things. Thanks for your help.

that Address Book will import directly from some email clients.
In MAIL, there is not an address book as such. Rather, any application that needs names, addresses, email info, etc. gets it from Address Book application.
