iMovie to QuickTime - audio pops/crackles

Finished project in iMovie 5.0.2. Plays back fine. Burns to DVD fine.
Export to QT 7.6 gives me snap/crackle/pop on audio tracks.

Any thoughts?

iMac 2.4 gHz, 1 GB ram

i think u need use AAC first before mixed on imovie.
