New Computer...

I recently got a new computer. My daughter thought she was helping yesterday and hooked the iPod up tot he new computer and followed on screen prompts. We she restored our iPod and lost all the music. I am trying to get the old computer set up and re sync.

So this does not happen again...how do I move all my music over from the old computer to the new computer? I am especially worried about the songs that I imported from a cd as I no longer have the cds.

If the old machine is a Mac

the use the Migration Assistant app to move everything over.

On a Windows machine there is a little more to it but it can be done.

You will find details at the Apple site or Google "how to move iTunes to a new Windows machine"
