iTunes Problem

My music files were completely screwed up. Using Windows media, I reorganized them and my windows media library is now correct. However, the iTunes library is still a mess. I would like to delete the present iTunes library and use the windows media library to recreate it. I would then sync the iTunes library to my iPod and hopefully live happily every after. Can I do that? How? Please be specific and give me step by step directions because I am not too technologically competent. Thanks in advance for any help.

If you have a library, folk feel pain if they train to manage the content with WMP and iTunes.

Nothing sounds wrong here. That is, folk could wish these two could work with the same library, but that's a dream.

Just leave the inside of the iTunes library alone!

It doesn't need to be "organized".

As long as iTunes knows where to find the tracks, that is really all you need to do.

If you feel like organizing, do it using the iTunes interface. That's what playlists do.
