Why is Itunes using my Data allowance?

Does anyone know how to stop itunes using my data allowance to upload? There is a direct correlation between me downloading from itunes and just as much data being used uploading. I cant find anything in account settings. This only started about 3 months ago. HELP!!!

before you start to download from the iTunes store using your iPad/iPod/iPhone, make sure you are connected to a Wireless network.

This will ensure that you are not using up your data allowance.

You might also want to check that you are not automatically storing your music in the iCloud
