Hi, Whenever I sync my IPAD a process starts named mdccrashreporttool.exe. It uses up all of one of my dual core processors. Itunes takes up the other one and my computer is brought to its knees. Ending the process MDCCRASHREPORTTOOL.EXE restores reasonable performance with no ill effects noticed. Everytime sync is started MDCCRASHREPORTTOOL.EXE starts. Because the computer is crippled it is a laborious process to kill MDC..... I have a windows PC running XP oodles of disk space and oodles of memory.

As an aside ITUNES takes up all of one of my dual core processors when it is running and is the largest program running in terms of memory utilization.

There are folk with XP on older machines that want the world to slow down to support the older machines and OS.

Sadly any reply could be taken wrong and upset this person. But for now I can share it works fine on the machines around me and folk I know. There is always a possibility that a corrupt photo, video or audio file could cause this issue but at the office we know to look out for that. Your average owner will point out it's a flaw in the software.

They are right. But how to get it fixed? Today it appears that is not going to happen. So we continue to find the content it choked on and move that out. Tough work with no step by step.

Hi,

I am impressed with your diplomacy. Since my IPAD approaches 64 GB on occasion it has a lot of stuff to be churned through to find the culprit but I will pursue it.

When I go looking for what's up I keep an eye out for any display that it is scanning file XYZ.AVI or such. Then I have a clue that this file is causing this app to slow or choke.

Sadly there is not much to work with and today's apps are tending to telling less about what they are doing to what file in favor of some progress bar.
