itunes and icloud issues

Hello I have a cell phone activation center and I have been having issues with icloud and itunes. I have purchased to iphone 4 for me and the wife hooked up her old 3g to itunes got all her contacts apps email from her old phone and had them tranefered over to her new iphone 4. Now for some strange I updated my new iphone 4 thru itunes I have people contacts on my phone I have never heard of in my life HOW is this happening I completed turned icloud off no wireless sync or nonthing. Had a customer come in with his 3g and I back his phone up to itunes before his phone was sent off to be unlocked and now his phopne has my contacts in them how is tis possible
