I'm wanting to put single covers on certain tracks but still leave the album cover as the main picture. That way when I play the track, I see the album picture, little, in the top left and the single picture, bigger, on the bottom left. This works fine on any track except the first one...when I put the single cover on it, even if I leave the album cover under the "artwork" tab, it switches the album cover to the single cover on the main page. Is there any way around this where I can still have the album cover on all the tracks but single covers on certain ones? (I have the very latest version of iTunes; just downloaded it today.)T

Since the first track seems to use that cover for the album and the rest work, did you consider working around this by putting it a track 1 that is zero to some seconds long of silence?

But I may be misunderstanding the problem. I read the first track is not right. If so, let's give it a zero second (time) track and then it may work.

I'm sorry, I can't understand what you are talking about and I've gotten so frustrated with iTunes. I can't put different pictures for all the other singles on the album and it works fine but when I go to put one on the first track of the album it switches the whole picture for the entire album. I've tried every way I can think of and can not find a way around it. :X

My idea is simple. If the first track does that, give the album a new first track of silence and zero seconds.
Then you can assign images to the rest and don't go near the dummy track we tossed in there to get around the issue.

I appreciate your help but I've given up on it. I can't figure out how to put in a track of silence and zero seconds and besides I don't want a random empty track sitting there for nearly every album. THanks though.

It's an old trick I learned years ago. It was some MP3 player that would never play a random track. Always picked the same one. Fix? Pop in a silent title track and it was fixed.
Sorry but that's the only trick this pony does.
