First of all, the forum on Apple's web site is useless, so I hope I can get some help here.
I use an external hard drive to store all of my iTunes stuff. I recently got a new one, and want things cleaner on it. I intend to have iTunes completely cleaned up, and then I want my music folder clean as well. However, I was scared to have iTunes send stuff to the recycle bin, so my music folders are still a little messy. What I would like to do is, back up iTunes to a seperate folder, only putting what is actually still in iTunes in the folder, and not all the stuff that is still in the iTunes media folder that has been deleted out of iTunes. Then I want to clean out everything on my new hard drive, and put the back up on it. This way I only have one folder with music, and not a folder of my music, and a copy in the iTunes media folder, taking up twice the space. Does this sound doable? I need advice on how to do it without loosing any of my music.
Thank You-
