iTunes forum: CDs ejected not recd to be imported. What did I do?

That about it? - yes, my intent is to import them into iTunes.

A failing drive would be bad news but at least it would indicate a solution, if costly.

Cheaper to replace it myself and cheaper than a new laptop. There are some that cringe at this but I wonder if I'll get a deal on a laptop with a bum DVD drive someday?

that question is kinda strange as it does not explain what you are trying to do or what is actually happening.

Presumably these are commercial audio CD's and you want to import them into iTunes.
You insert the CD and they get ejected.
That about it?

Have you tried a CD cleaner? Might be the first step here. CD's normally get ejected by a Mac because the system cannot read them.

A quick squirt with a can of compressed air may help too
