iTunes forum: iTunes arrows missing

iTunes arrows missing

I upgraded to iTunes 9.0.1 and I used to have Link Arrows next to the songs so when I clicked on them It would bring me directly to the iTunes store to the song and artist of the selected song. Is this feature now missing or is it hidden in a preference box somewhere? Thanks for any help.

Power Mac G5 dual-core 2.3 GHz PPC
5 GB Ram
OSX 10.5.8
iTunes 9.0.1

Missing Linking Arrows

As I stated in my original posting that option is now missing. I believe it was there since iTunes 4.5. Thanks anyway.

iTunes 8

Since iTunes 8, the links only appear when you select a track before which was much better than iTune 7's placing links next to every track in your Library.

To quickly find more music on the iTunes Store from an artist in your library or perhaps a cover of the same song by a different artist, click the arrow next to the artist or song title in your library.

To do so, open iTunes > Preferences (Windows Edit > Preferences) and make sure you check "Show links to the iTunes Store."

I don't see this feature in iTunes 9.0.1. It may not be there anymore. I just wanted confirmation of this omission because I'm going nuts looking for something that might no longer be there. Thanks for your input.

I don't see that option any more either, but I still see the links when a track is selected. Have you used a 3rd party tool recently that edits hidden preferences? iTunes is usually one of those that can be edited.

Hit the nail on the head

Thanks very much for the heads up referring to 3rd party tools. When I went into OnyX (just recently installed 2.0.5) there was an option under "Parameters"> "iTunes">"Show the links arrows" that was deselected. I didn't deselect this option-or I don't remember deselecting anything in OnyX as I didn't use this application yet but it was deselected. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Kevin.
