Software a update for LG 55LS5700-UA

For the second time since we bought this TV in early November it is telling us it needs a software update, but it won't load more than 3% of the update. Previously I was able to get the update on my PC and use a thumb drive to put it onto the TV, but this time I can't find the update online. LG tells me they'll have to send a technician to reset the TV. We're so disappointed with this TV that we will most likely return it and get a different brand. Anyone else having these issues?

I'm seeing the firmware update on other makes too.

And as everyone's internet connection varies, some routers have firewalls and sorry to get technical here, some ISP's choice of DNS does not have all the entries, this area needs a reboot.

Changing make may not help. Forgetting the Smart TV might help and focus on good picture quality (PQ.)

Wish I had better news but I wonder if the makers thought it through. Expecting TV owners to download to USB sticks? Seriously needs a reboot.
