Lg 42le4500-za firmware update problem

hello.

english is not my native language, so excuse me for any mistakes.

i am trying some months now , to firmware update my model, and it can not work.

i do what i read in lg forums. i make the folder, i download the file, i put it in usb. my tv recognises the update, but whenever i press "start". it says "wrong file, the software update service can't start" or something like that..

i have 03.03.18 and in site is available 03.03.34

so my questions:

a)why is that happening??am i the first???

b)i read in forum, that with seven times pressing 7 is the force upgrade. i saw it, but i hesitated to do it, because i am afraid of it.

is it safe???

any suggestions??? thanks in advance

When the upgrade fails and you followed the directions, NEVER use forums to force the update unless you are willing to accept a failed device.

It's that simple.

How to fix this? Back to the maker.

Only if you accept the risk of a dead device would you ever accept advice on forcing the install.

Only LG may know why it fails.

My background involves firmware updates on industrial devices so I know a little about this area. But it does not mean I will ever help folk wipe out their machines.
