LG Surround Sound System

H i brought a LG Surround Sound DVD player system model:HT303SU. I got it home and plugged it in speakers and all and it worked fine. i plugged my av to 3.5mm auxilary in and tried to play my ipod, worked fine until i swapped the cord for a longer one. the speakers made wierd noices and it froze, i turned it off at the wall and booted it back up and when you turn it on the speakers crackle for a second and it now plays no sound. and it did make a long ear piercing beeb a few times i tried to restart it. any ideas?

it was second hand i shoulda said. i think i just shorted it on my stereo which is always zapping me. its a good system i just want it to work again haha

Look for any manual about any and all RESET functions but that's about it for the end user and beyond that it is not user-serviceable.
