Why does my LG HD Plasma keep blacking out for a few seconds

I have a problem with my LG HD Plasma TV blacking out for a few seconds then the image returns. It can be fine for an hour at a time and then can repeatedly black out the screen.

I have tried using factory reset and brought an attenuator. I have a digital recorder attached. LG customer services keep telling me it is my aerial or I have a problem with the signal being to weak or too strong.

If anyone has had this problem or knows if it is the tv at fault please let me know?

You see folk getting upset about Over The Air issues today. They are apparently new to how unreliable OTA is and I'm unsure how to bring them up to date on this without them getting upset. That is, OTA is never a sure thing. Some are miffed about it and will talk about their other set that works. This is one of the issues of OTA and why for some, they should get cable or other where they connection is a little more assured.

There are other issues with today's electronics. For example, I'm finding many things that need the canned air on the vents and occasionally a high heat output device in an enclosed space or blocked vents (dust bunnies or other things.)
