LG dr389 recorder /player dvd open door when inserted

every time a new dvd is inserted it opens the door, a pre-recorded dvd plays with out problem. we don't have a LG agent nearby have tried different types of discs same problem, advice would be appreciated

I can't tell. If new, consider returning it as defective. Out of warranty, BEWARE repairs often cost more than replacements.
