Hey guys, I was wondering if you could help me with this problem I've bin having for a while, I've tried trouble shooting it, I can't seem to find anybody with the same problem. I have an LG screen, I have a cable (i dont know what kind) plugged in from my screen to the back of my PC, and an HMDI cable from another socket in my screen leading into my PS3. This setup is so that I can switch from analogue(which is my desktop/PC) to Digital(Which is my PS3) without unplugging everything. Now for some reason it's not displaying my games at full resolution, I've tried in so many ways to fix this, I've downloaded the forte manager for my screen to change the resolution from there and it hasnt worked. I changed the resolution on my desktop but it didn't cange it for the Digital signal(so it doesnt change the resolution for my PS3) I've tried my PS3 settings and they don't work. The games are diplayed at HD 720p if that helps, If you could guide or help me that would be great, thanks.

Sorry about that, the Model is W2253, EDID-1.3 and the screen size is 480x270mm if that matters, think it's about 21-22 inches.
I'd consider returning it.

This display is 1600 x 900 so it is not 720 or 1080p. You can learn the hard way that you want to avoid other screen resolutions when dealing with the PS3.
720p would be best for the PS3 and for the PC, well a PC can handle it.

Thanks very much for reply, it's great to get a straight answer, and you're right, the PC handles the resolution ok. Do you think you could give me a name of a model of screen suitable for the ps3 please? And is there anything I can do that might resolve the issue I have now without buying a new screen?

You can run the PS3 at 720p and it should be OK on HDMI.
I know you want 1080p but this is not a 1080p display so the only fix is to get a 1080p display which sends us back to returning this one for another. There are too many good 1080p LED LCD displays today. I'd have a hard time picking given such great choices.

I've tried running it at 720, it only makes it worse. But thanks anyway, this has helped alot.

But maybe this display has some way to turn off the stretch to full screen mode. I didn't go too deep into the product manual as I was only looking for the pixels on the screen which explains so much.
