Could I use Medialink to stream online movies?

Hello,
I'm novice to this stuff so pls forgive me if I ask silly questions happy
I'm using 42" LG Smart TV and use Medialink to stream movie from my PC I downloaded before. It works great.
Now I wanted to stream movie from websites which provides free online movies directly from internet to my TV. It didn't work for me and LG customer support said that it's not supposed to work that way. I should use Netflix, Hulu or etc for that reason.
Well ... I understand that but my goal is to stream some movie not using application but directly from website. It came to my mind that I could use Plex and Medialink for that reason i.e. stream movie to from my PC using Medilink to my TV.
Is it possible?

well ... thanks for sharing your thoughts ... so you don't think that Medialink and Plex are supposed to provide online streaming ... but do you have in your mind other options to stream movies? I mean not using Medialink or apps like Netfilx, Hulu and etc? I mean some other option except I mentioned above. Maybe I'm going in the wrong direction and Smart TV is not supposed to be able to stream movie just from the website?

For example HULU.COM and others block SmartTVs in favor of their apps. What you do hear often are folk that want the browser in the TV to play web content like their PCs.

For now, not going to happen. I guess most haven't been listening to the news about this. For now, if there is no app for the content, it rarely plays in the browser in the TV.
