Hello,
(this is my first post here. I hope it's the right place to ask this question);
Last year in june i bought a LG HX751 bluray system for my living room. On of the goals was to stream video stored on a Synology NAS. It worked great with the shared folders on my local network and was very happy with it.
A few weeks ago, i bought the LG BP620 bluray for my bedroom. I don't need 7 speakers in mij living room, so i bought a smaller device.
Unfortunately, streaming the video wasn't that easy as with the HX751. I couldn't see my network or shared folders, although the player was in the network.
After 2 days of searching i found out the BP620 needs a mediaserver on the network to play videos (wasn't like that in the manual). Luckily the Synology NAS has a built-in mediaserver. After activation, it worked fine. yay! ![]()
Untill yesterday. I updated the NAS with the newest firmware (DSM3.2 -> DSM4.0).
On the HX751: everything kept working as before (i see both the shared folders and the activated media server; can play video on both ways).
On the BP620: still no shared folders. I still see the mediaserver on the NAS, but when accessing, he doens't find the video. I only see a blank screen with the 'loading' icon (the round thing). I've waited for hours and hours, but i guess it'll never come ![]()
So my question: is there a way to use shared folders on the BP620? would be great.
If not: why do i see the media server, but can't access the files on it.
Given the fact it works fine on the HX751, it's not the NAS/media server thats causing the problems, but the software on the BP620.
The version of the software installed on both players
BP620:
-Main Ver :BD7.392.00
-Servo Ver : H12IM2N0350
HX751
-Main Ver : HB 8.97.404
- Servo Ver :H90377 (H09LGN)
Thank you very much for you feedback
