So , the new N1T3 NAS / mediastore device , advertised as the way to share your media files (TV/Video/Music) with your household....they actually advertise it for this purpose.
There are several problems with this device that SHOULD have been sorted before the product was even released.
The major issue is , once you have over 11,000 files indexed , (Really not that many if you have several years worth of MP3s in your collection , this number will include all the dross that apple includes when you index your music for iTunes use as well) the DLNA in the firmware crashes!.
This is in a device that is advertised as a media server.
The automated backup to DVD/RW never runs , it gets as far as checking the files and stops dead.
The inbuilt iTunes server only works with version 4.63 or lower of iTunes.
I really would not suggest anyone consider buying this unit until they fix these problems.
