Help with LG CU500

I just purchased the CU500 today with a 2GB microSD card. I have the card recognized on my laptop(windows XP home) after downloading a driver for the built in memory card reader, so I don't need the data transfer cable. I put the card in the phone to see if it recognizes it, and it says "card not ready". I took it out and put a few songs on it and put it back in and nothing happens. It still says "card not ready". I tried formating the card and still the phone does not recognize it. Any help on how to get this to work would be appreciated. Thanks.

the usb cable that the micro sd chip goes into?

We bought a usb adapter at Cingular. Put micro sd chip in usb adapter. Click and drag songs, pictures. When done, remove micro sd chip and put in phone. Now the songs and pictures are there.

Let me start off by saying that 2GB cards are supposedly not supported. Below is what it took for my 1GB card to work.

Put the MicroSD card into the phone, make sure it clicks into place. Hit Menu, 1 for Cingular Music, 1 for Music Player and then 3 for Shuffle Songs. All of your songs should now appear on your phone.

If that didn't work you can try the following:

trick#2 factory menu:

open flip and enter 277634#*#
scroll down to #4 port settings and click ok.
then #4 mass storage
then #5 mass storage remove
then #4 mass storage (yea we are repeating)
then #5 mass storage remove
now press clear until you are out of the menu's

check MENU 9 0 4 again.....

I was on my 2nd Phone, and 2nd Gig chip. I was a heartbeat away from throwing my CU500 out the window. THe tip to get to the factory menu, then the mass storage did the trick to finally get to "see" my chip in the phone. My question is:
Can I use these tips if I pull my chip and load songs directly from the computer via USB chip reader/ writer? I had done it when I first got the phone/ chip, but it stopped working. THe cingular guy told me I "Corrupted" the chip and had to reformat it. Is this true??

micro sd problem

i bought a 1gb micro sd card (sandisk) and it works perfectly. i wanted to upgrade so i purchased a 2gb micro sd (kingston) and my phone can not read it. i loaded a bunch of music on the 2gb and put it in my cu500 and it says "card not ready" when trying to access it.

has anyone else had problems with the kingston micro sd's? is there any way to get my phone to read the card?

Micro SD and LG CU500

I have tried several different SD cards In my CU500, The only one I don;t have trouble with is the 512 that came with the phone. Trick #2 you posted works for some of the SD cards but when I turn off the phone it losses the card and I have to repeat the the process every time I turn The phone back on.
