My question about a macbook battery. This macbook (2011) is the only computer/mac that is available for me to use at the moment and it will probably be that way for a while. My question is since i have it on all day, I don't want to have to replace the battery after 6 months of use or anything like that. I know some tricks to lower the battery consumption and all but still from my experience it still does a lot of damage to have the charger plugged in all day. The battery is working fine and all as of right now. i'm getting a good 6 - 8 hours using the macbook for going online to talk to friends, clients and searching the web. My question to everyone is how can I preserve this battery as long as I can? I have tried (on an older laptop)letting the battery almost run out of power before I charge the battery but that still seem to kill the battery life quickly. Is there any other way to perserve the battery on this Macbook? Any suggestions is appreciated.
